BATIST Medical a.s. is managing directly the offices in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Germany, newly in Portugal & Spain and is also serving organization across the group for all third countries without their own representation.
BATIST Medical a.s. in time
1992
Company established
The company was established in 1992, first specializing in producing gauze bandage material. In the following years, fixation and elastic bandages enriched the production program, and also hygienic products, cellulose absorbent cotton, and other groups of medical products.
1998
Modernized factory line opened
The company invested into its own development and opened a modernized factory and distribution centre in Červený Kostelec in Eastern Bohemia in 1998. Clean rooms for the production of sterile medical products are a part of the factory.
2003
ISO implementation
Since 2003, a quality management system according to EN ISO 13485:2003 norms has been implemented in all activities of the company, together with certification by the renowned Norway company DVN GL PRESAFE AS. The products of Batist are also certified with the CE mark awarded by the DVN GL PRESAFE AS.
2007
Branch office in Bratislava
In 2007, we opened a branch office in Bratislava to dispatch goods through whole Slovakia.
2010
Division of the Company
In 2010, the company BATIST splitted into two separate companies. BATIST s.r.o. production part and BATIST Medical a.s. distribution part.
2011
Distribution acquisition
The distribution part was then acquired by international swedish group OneMed and has become its structure.
2018
Acquisition and Consolidation
In 2018, the investment company BATIST Medical Holding has acquired as part of a complete BATIST Medical/OneMed „carve-out“ the 100% shares of OneMed Germany GmbH, OneMed Polska and BATIST Medical Czech Republic and Slovakia. Due to this event, the names of our German and Polish companies OneMed have been changed in BATIST Medical An important part of our business strategy remains the state-of-the-art production facility at our headquarter in Červený Kostelec in the north of the Czech Republic, which has also been acquired by BATIST Medical Holding. There we produce first-class products such as customized sets, wound care, bandages and much more.
2019
Acquisition of Docworld Portugal and Docworld Spain
BATIST Medical obtained 100% stake in Docworld Portugal and Docworld Spain (“Docworld”). BATIST Medical and Docworld have been working together for over a decade and offer a similar portfolio of products and services.
Docworld, as part of the BATIST Medical Group, will benefit BATIST’s innovative potential in a rapidly growing public and private healthcare environment across Europe. And Docworld will make a positive contribution to the growth of the Group’s sales and business results.
